Software
The next section describes the steps to install all software necessary for the course R&D Embed on your machine. You will need to download and install multiple applications. All references to files that need to be downloaded can be found in the references section. It is very important that you follow these steps carefully and ensure everything is installed correctly. Otherwise some of the tutorials might not work properly and you will lose a lot of time figuring out why.
System Requirements
Required disk space is about 115 GB, after a basic installation you have almost 70 GB in use.
If you want to download petalinux cache files an extra 110 GB is needed, this is not a requirement but will speed up petalinux build times. Each petalinux project requires about 35 GB if cache is disabled.
A separate usb drive might be a solution if you do not have that much space left on your laptop.
